I'm so excited!!! My mom called me yesterday from Ohio and told me that my Grandma pulled out scrapbooks that she had made in the 20's and 30's. She used to put the words to her favorite songs and a pic to go with each song!!!! Omgoodness I would love to see these! I Love my Grandma so much and would love to read these! My Grandma is in her mid 90's and her back is getting real bad as of lately. She has been so well up until recently. I'm going to see her soon! I saw her in April, but that seems like forever ago! I miss her and my Aunt Julie!!! So it got me thinking that I am going to start scrapbooking my mundane everyday life.....more of like documenting things. I think this is the best thing that I can do for my grandbabies and thier children and so on......I love to read about my grandparents and what life was like for them. I don't remember talking much about it when I was younger. Plus there were hard times and they did not like to talk about it. I can remember asking my dad about his father in WWII and he said that Grandpa would not talk about it! I totally understand why, but I would love to know my family history. So my goal is to get out one of my scrapbooks that have the old black pages and just scrap away....no fluff, I don't care how "good" it looks. I will add pics and PP and maybe some embelli's but mainly journalling and pics and thoughts about life right now! Now that's what scrapbooking was before it got so commercialized(sp?)!!!!!!! So I am excited about that!
Did I mention that I dislike Florida????? I don't know what it is,but I will never feel "at home" here! Oh well I am making the best of it. I try to stay busy and keep the kids busy, but sometimes I just miss my family and friends! Well that's all for now.........it's actually NOT raining today so I will take the kids in the pool. Maybe I will Mow my poor lawn. Have a great day!!!!
Oh and Congrats to my dear friend Jane on being a Grandma again! Her daughter Sabrina just had a big ol' girl last night!!!! I hope all is well with everyone and she heals quickly! Love ya Jane and give that Baby plenty of kisses from her LP Aunties!!!!!!!!

Rebecca...I love that you want to journal the everyday little things. I've been doing this alot and it really is like leaving a legacy of your life behind. I hope my children appreciate it someday!
